Singapore Merlion Park

Wandering down to the marina in Singapore you can see the Merlion, a mythical creature with the body of a fish and the head of a lion. The Merlion appears to stand guard over the city of Singapore. I’m not sure if it’s like a fish spouting water or like a gargoyle after a storm.

Padang Forest Ship

As I walked through the bustling city streets of Singapore I came across The Panang, a tranquil open area that’s reserved for public use. The Skypark appeared to float above the ancient trees like an enchanted craft from a Miyazaki film.

Singapore Ghost Fleet

On approach to busy Changi Airport in Singapore my flight was delayed, with the plane circling while waiting to land. With the sun sinking towards the horizon I thought I’d miss any opportunity to photograph the sunset. Instead out the window I was able to capture this fleet of empty ships glittering in the sunlight with the magnificent Singapore skyline visible through the haze.
